Your
child will be involved in developmentally-appropriate activities throughout
the day. He or she is offered a variety of opportunities to explore
their world through play.
Motor and social skills are developed through both structured and
unstructured play. Days are filled with art, song and dance, crafts,
story time, and more. There are activities that teach pre-reading
skills, letter/sound recognition and basic math concepts.
If you have special requests or particular activities that you would
like your child to engage in, I am open to accommodating you so long
as it doesn't interfere with the other children.
I am the only person taking care of your child everyday. My daughter,
who is 17, is here everyday after school in addition to days off &
summer to help plan fun things for the children to do; they always
have fun with her! In the summer or days off, I have employed high
school children who study child development to play, do arts &
crafts, activity sheets/puzzles with the children in addition to outdoor
play. |
Again,
"Your home away from home" isn't
just a saying, it is how I want you to feel about your child under
my care. They need to feel comfortable and welcome... and they are!
Please contact me anytime to discuss your
individual needs. |
