Since
your child's safety is my # 1 concern, I never take your child off
my property but I do want your child to have fun times. We have our
own little "home" events.
We celebrate every child's birthday, have picnic breakfasts and/or
lunches both inside (in the winter or when it's raining) & out,
exercises on our foam playmat, color and letter days, olympics, etc
The children love bringing in something everyday for show & tell.
Even if they are too young, we still sit in a circle & either
show or tell about our item. It doesn't take long before they start
to talk about what they brought. Everybody looks forward to bringing
something!
We also have cooking days where we help make the scrambled eggs, pancakes
or make cookies that we decorate. I have children spatulas, spoons,
measuring cups, etc to make it fun.
The children also like to make fun shapes out of the toast or grilled
cheese with plastic shapers like a flower, heart, triangle, square
or circle. It also helps them learn their shapes & colors.
